Vert is French for green. The work is plainer than the word: calculate greenhouse gas emissions, write them down, and reduce them.
A figure without its factors is not an account.
What Vert is.
Vert builds carbon accounting software for individuals and organizations. The product calculates greenhouse gas emissions from activity, produces reports, and finds solutions to reduce carbon.
The same company serves both. A personal account and an operational account differ in boundary and in scale. They do not differ in standard. Factors are named. Exclusions are written down. Reductions have to point at a line in the inventory.
What Vert is not.
Not a quiz that ends in one unexplained number. Not an offset shop. Not a report with the method removed so the total can be used as decoration.
If a category cannot be evidenced, it stays out, and the report says it stayed out.
